moving to Delft
Hi folks,
I've been too silent recently. There's no good reason actually but my thoughts have been too much with work. And along that with my trip to Delft next week where I will be attending TUDelft for the timespan of three months. Well, it's about time to travel a little. In return I expect to learn some stuff about FPGAs, get my european phd title after returning and have some fun :)
In Delft I will be staying in a university-provided residence (duwo). It's about 480€ for a room in a shared flat, monthly rate. That looks huge even compared with Barcelona, but if we take a look at the residence of UPC (Resa) it's not that much. I heard that a study here costs about 600+ € per month. Fortunately I will have a grant to cover for all that. Only that at this time the grant has still not approved. The decision will come in about 4 days. And I'm leaving in one week. love risk? :-)
My only fear is that, like usual, I have planned far too much work for this stay. Looks like I have to work on two projects, write a conference paper for my current work and start writing my thesis. In addition, I want to study some japanese because the certificate exams are just in about two months. And finally, how to manage all the partying? :-)
I'd better not expect too much out of all this. Overplanning is not good at all. Things never turn out how one plans them original. Therefore you should not stick to static plans, but dynamic plans. I prefer to think in terms of an always-evolving plan. So, better relax now and try to get the work done without thinking too much about it.
well, hasta pronto!
